I’m excited to share this heartwarming tale of two lovebirds who wed at the private Elopement Deck in Indooroopilly – the perfect spot for Laura and Chris say, “I do”.
The happy couple were married in the presence of their 2 witnesses, and their adorable 5-year-old boy, who proudly rocked his duty as the ring bearer.
Originally, Laura and Chris had planned to say “I do” at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. However, Mother Nature had other plans for their Christmas Eve wedding (cue rain and a potential cheeky storm or two on the forecast).
Luckily, The Elopement Deck, a charming, sheltered space which overlooks a lush greenery backdrop, proved the perfect alternative for their intimate ceremony.
And what a perfect spot it was for Laura and Chris say “I do”.
The happy couple enjoyed a short, simple yet heartfelt ceremony. Once their vows were exchanged, their proud little boy beamed as he delivered the rings for them to exchange.
Moments like these will undoubtably become memories that Laura and Chris will forever treasure.
There’s a lesson in Laura and Chris’s story that goes beyond the stunning photos captured by the talented Samantha Li.
It’s a lesson in adaptability and embracing the unexpected. While rain may have changed their venue, it most definitely didn’t dampen their spirits.
Hats off to Laura and Chris, who along with their trusted photographer Samantha, rolled with the location change, creating special memories at The Elopement Deck and surrounding parks that will forever make them smile, rain or shine.
Here’s what we can all learn from Laura and Chris’s elopement:
1. Embrace the unexpected: Choose love over worries, go with the flow and you’ll have the best time. With experienced vendors to guide you, you can relax and enjoy every moment of your day, even if it looks a little different to what you envisioned.
2. Keeping it minimal = stress-free and allows you to soak it all in: Less is often more! Small weddings and elopements allow you to focus on what truly matters: your love, and the happiness of celebrating that together.
3. The value of choosing a photographer you can trust: A skilled photographer with an eye for finding magic in every moment is worth their weight in gold. Despite short notice of the new location, the Photographer Samantha produced one of the best image galleries we’ve seen for this venue. She has an expert eye for knowing what backdrops will photograph beautifully, while simultaneously capturing all the moments and the love.
4. The Elopement Deck: Rain-or-shine: This hidden gem is available exclusively to our couples, and offers privacy, charm, and a sheltered space. Ideal for intimate elopements or a fantastic wet-weather back-up plan for small elopements and legals only weddings.
Congratulations Laura and Chris and thank you for choosing us to share in your special day and allowing us to feature your beautiful elopement.
