Keisha and Craig’s Non-ceremony legals only wedding
When Keisha and Craig got in touch to book me as their Celebrant, they told me they were looking to get married in a non-ceremony legals only wedding, with just the required legal marriage wording.
A bare minimum legals only marriage involves a couple of paragraphs that the Celebrant is required to say, and the couple are required to say a 1 sentence vow to each other (or they can say more and add their own personalised vows if they wish). It can be as short as just a few minutes if you wish. Sometimes referred to as a paperwork marriage.
This small and intimate non-ceremony legals only wedding was such a relaxed one to be a part of, with the 2 witnesses being the Photographer and the Celebrants wife.
To hear from the couple that they got the marriage they envisioned and that their day was perfect, is the best!
“My fiancee and I ran away to Brisbane and eloped in late December. Jamie was fantastic he responded with useful suggestions and recommendations, which was particularly helpful as we were coordinating this from overseas.
The ceremony, while very simple, was exactly what we were after. The day was perfect. Thanks Jamie.”
With just 2 witnesses present, the couples ceremony was super relaxed and short and sweet.
At the couples request their ceremony involved simply the legal wording and exchanging of rings while they looked lovingly in to each others eyes. Within minutes they were married.
There was no need for a crowd at this wedding as the witnesses and photographer more than made up for one, excitedly bursting in to celebratory cheers and applause the moment I pronounced them husband and wife.
Following the ceremony the couple accompanied their Photographer Lover of Mine to the nearby UQ grounds, for post wedding photos where these stunning images were captured.
The newlyweds then celebrated with an intimate lunch for 2 at a nearby restaurant. We love it when couples do their day their way and for Craig and Keisha, their relaxed and private wedding was absolutely perfect.
Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!
