After relocating to Brisbane, this sweet couple decided to tie the knot without the fuss of a big wedding. Without family nearby, they embraced the simplicity of an intimate elopement—just the two of them, their photographer Trang, and my wife Cara (a Celebrant extraordinaire and an awesome witness too!).
Lovers Jetty, with its serene lake backdrop, was the perfect spot for their ceremony. The golden sunlight, and the quiet intimacy of a weekday elopement made it feel like their own private slice of paradise.
The Ceremony: Simple & Sweet
As their Celebrant, I shared a simple, enjoyable modern ceremony that was short yet bursting with love – just like the 2 of them!
Their vows were personal, heartfelt and authentic. Since they were new to Brisbane, we kept things relaxed and stress-free—just pure love and a few happy tears.
After the ceremony we signed the legal marriage paperwork with their 2 official witnesses, then we celebrated with cheers and hugs, before they headed off for location photos.
