The beautiful centrally located New Farm Park has several areas that make the perfect backdrop for small and intimate elopement weddings.
Here we share some of our favourite spots that you may like to consider for your New Farm Park elopement. As some of the following areas are not designated booking sites, they are only suited to small intimate wedding ceremonies, and you may need to be flexible if your preferred spot is unavailable on the day.
Tree Elopement
Weddings and elopements can take place beneath a beautiful grand old tree at New Farm Park. If opting for this tree by the rotunda, we recommend booking the rotunda site through Brisbane City Council to ensure exclusive use of this spot.

Rose Gardens
The New Farm Park rose gardens offer ample locations for your ceremony to take place. While the roses are cut back through winter, they are in full bloom by Spring, creating a stunning backdrop with rose bushes in a variety of vibrant colours.
Being dog friendly, New Farm is a great spot if you would like your dog to be there.
This couple opted for a relaxed, stress-free small and intimate wedding ceremony with Celebrant Jamie Eastgate delivering their short and simple ceremony, with their Photographer and Celebrant Cara as their 2 witnesses and it was perfect!

Fig Tree
This sweet and intimate elopement at Brisbane’s New Farm Park took place beneath this huge old tree just steps from the Brisbane river and the Brisbane Powerhouse.
The happy couple enjoyed a stress free, fuss free private small wedding ceremony in the company of just their 2 photographers who were also their witnesses.
The happy couple looked so relaxed and so in love as they shared the vows they had written to one another and exchanged rings. They were kind enough to give me a 5 star review with the following comments:
“My husband and I eloped! We just wanted a relaxed and chilled ceremony and that is exactly what we got.
It was a lovely way to marry my best friend. Thank you Jamie for making our day amazing and exactly what we wanted.
Not only are you very professional, you are a happy, fun and down to earth Celebrant. Thank you for marrying us and being part of our special day. I wish there was more stars on here as I would give you a higher rating”

Wilsons Outlook Reserve
With a stretch of lawn perched at the top of the Cliffs on Bowen Terrace in New Farm, Wilsons Outlook Reserve offers stunning views, of the Brisbane river, Story Bridge and city skyscrapers, equally stunning by day as it is at sunset when the golden rays of sun, light up the sky and buildings and the city lights come to life.
These images snapped by Still Wild Love show how beautiful a late afternoon sunset ceremony is at this location.
The backdrop above is taken behind the main park area overlooking the Brisbane river, and the image below is by the narrow lawn area on the other side of the Howard Smith Wharves lifts which is a private area.
