A beautiful Brisbane City elopement

This beautiful Brisbane City elopement may not have been what they had originally planned, but it couldn’t have been a more perfect day!

Celebrant elopement

This super sweet couple had originally planned a lavish big wedding at Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane City, then following COVID restrictions, to still get married they needed to completely change their wedding plans from a big wedding to a small and intimate elopement.

“Thank you Jamie so much for conducting our wedding and for making us feel so relaxed and making it a seamless day that we will always treasure.”

They knew that more than anything they simply wanted to be married, ideally on the date they originally planned their wedding for.

Having to re-plan their wedding to align with the restrictions that were in place, they opted to elope in the presence of their family, and postponed their big wedding celebrations for a year.

When Grace asked Celebrant Jamie Eastgate for suggestions of where their smaller elopement style wedding could take place that would still be special, he came up with the idea that the park at the top of the cliffs of Howard Smith Wharves would allow them to be in the same area that they had originally planned for their ceremony.elopement in Brisbane

Grace loved the idea of the nearby location to their ‘would-be wedding’, and booked one of our favourite photographers, Still Wild Love to capture the occasion.

Grace and Cameron clearly enjoyed stepping away from tradition as they got wedding ready together, and even arrived and walked down the aisle together. Grace tell us “It just felt real, simple and meaningful. Just very us.”

They opted for a short and simple elopement style ceremony and shared beautiful personalised heart felt vows with each other.

With restrictions and border closures, interstate family were unable to attend, so instead they joined via live stream to be a part of the ceremony and celebrate from their homes.

We adore these elopement location photos which are extra special as their big celebration will take place here a year later.

What a special day! Congratulations to our happy newlyweds.
