There’s something very special about small and intimate weddings, as perfectly portrayed by this lovely couple who were clearly bursting with happiness during every moment of their small Brisbane wedding.
There are a combination of factors that together create a relaxed and excited vibe. Less guests generally means less pressure, less expectation, and no stress. Resulting in the guests feeling at ease and comfortable from the moment they arrive with less formalities.
We notice our small wedding couples generally arrive with little or no nerves at all, meaning they don’t have to work through their nerves before they can really enjoy their ceremony, instead they can feel, excitement and happiness from the moment they arrive. They can take it all in and really enjoy the ceremony without nerves getting in the picture.
With less traditional formalities at small weddings, couples sometimes opt to both be there and greet the guests as they arrive which is always nice. These two brides found a quiet lawn in Mt Coot-tha that was perfect for their ceremony accompanied by their nearest and dearest. The happy couple arrived hand in hand and walked down the aisle together. The beaming smiles didn’t leave their faces as they faced each other and took their places for the ceremony.
Not only were they bursting with happiness, they were also bursting with love as they shared the traditional vows they had chosen to share with each other.
After exchanging vows and rings the couples wedding party joined them in signing their marriage certificates, as the happy couple continued to grin from ear to ear.
The smaller the wedding the more noise I like to encourage the guests to make, so accompanied by a cheering crowd and a confetti cannon malfunction the two brides made their way back down the aisle together as wife and wife.
The couple enjoyed refreshments with guests before making the most of the gardens for their elopement photos with their wonderful Photographer, Renee from Two Wild Hearts.
Small weddings tend to be shorter than traditional weddings, however this didn’t stop Renee from successfully capturing a wonderful gallery full of stunning images of the couple. After the ceremony they enjoyed a first dance while relishing in the glow of being the happiest newlyweds in town!
Congratulations to the happy newlyweds on pulling off such an amazing small Brisbane wedding and best of all enjoying it to the max!
Special mention to Renee from Two Wild Hearts for capturing this special ceremony.
