The focus on the couple’s love, the relaxed intimacy, along with the beautiful simplicity are all components that make elopements feel so warm and special.
This recent stylish elopement at the serenely stunning Palm Tree Lawn at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens was no exception.
The couple booked the Palm Tree Lawn at Mt Coot-tha for their elopement to ensure they had exclusive use of the area, and it was the perfect peaceful and private setting for their special ceremony.
I couldn’t be happier to receive this glowing 5-star review from the happy couple:
5 STAR REVIEW
“Jamie was incredible for our intimate elopement. He was professional in every way possible and made the process so easy.
His gentle manner and personality made us feel so at ease.
Would recommend Jamie to anyone who is looking to get married.
Thanks again!” S+D
The couple chose neutral tones for their ceremony decor, to perfectly complement the groom’s traditional Scottish attire.
With Love – Brisbane Wedding Decorators styled the setting beautifully with a rose gold circular arbour adorned with dried florals, lanterns and a rattan-style mat. The understated elegance created a picture-perfect backdrop, framing them beautifully for their intimate ceremony.
Late afternoon on a Monday while the gardens were particularly quiet, peaceful and private, the happy couple arrived together as a family which is always a great way to keep nerves at ease while maximising precious time together on their special day.
Hot Tip – As a leading Elopement Celebrant, I genuinely care about my couples having a great experience, not just in terms of making the planning and the ceremony an easy and stress-free experience but also ensuring their Photographer can capture the best photos of the couple’s ceremony, particularly with elopement weddings being short and relatively quick.
With this in mind, you can see here how I deliver elopement weddings while being stood off to one side, giving the Photographer and Videographer significant opportunities to capture the couple and all their emotions, without me being in those shots.
This also allows the couple to focus on each other, and not on me as I guide them through the ceremony.
In the truest form of eloping, the couple exchanged vows in the presence of just their two children, their Photographer and Videographer (who doubled as their witnesses), and me, Jamie Eastgate, their elopement Celebrant.
The ceremony itself was a short, meaningful celebration of their love. The couple shared vows, exchanged rings, and incorporated a heartfelt handfasting ceremony – acknowledging the groom’s Scottish heritage. Using special ropes sent by the groom’s mother from Scotland, they literally “tied the knot,” adding a unique and heartfelt touch to their day.
After sealing the deal with a kiss, the hand fastening ropes were placed on the signing table while the couple signed their marriage certificates.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their adorable children strolled through the botanical gardens, with Neil Hole Photography capturing every fun moment.
The picture-perfect variety of tropical lush greenery at the stunning botanical gardens, made for an incredible gallery of photos that the couple will no doubt always treasure.
If you are yearning for a stress-free, intimate elopement that focuses on what truly matters to you, we would love to help make it happen.
With my calming presence and years of experience as an elopement Celebrant, I can guide you through every step, from planning to “I do” and my service even extends to providing info and checklists for changing your last name after your marriage has taken place.
