I was lucky enough to be the elopement Celebrant for Jess and Nick twice!
First up they legally married in this sweet South Bank elopement in Brisbane where they secretly eloped in the presence of just their parents. Then 6 months later they had their big wedding celebration in a non-legal ceremony, where I announced the surprise to the guests that they were already legally married.
The couple found a nice quiet spot amid Southbank Parklands where we gathered, along with their parents and Photographer for their small, relaxed and heartfelt South Bank elopement wedding.
The couple decided to keep their elopement ceremony short and simple and didn’t take their eyes off each other.
What a sweet elopement it was! Congratulations to the happy couple.
Being that their second ceremony wasn’t a legal ceremony, a benefit to them of having the 2 separate ceremonies, was they didn’t have to follow any legal requirements or include any legal wording which gave them full flexibility of what was said and how it would flow on the day.
This also meant they didn’t need to speak at all during the second ceremony, which helps reduce nerves, particularly enticing for anyone with anxiety.
After the ceremony concluded, the couple enjoyed a relaxed stroll through Brisbane’s beautiful South Bank Parklands for photos together.
We hope you enjoyed this South Bank elopement wedding. If you are planning on eloping or legally getting married before your big wedding celebration, we would love to hear from you.
